It is located on the southern shore of Dubai Creek, opposite Business Bay. The development is being undertaken by Meydan Group, a Dubai-based property development company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MBR City is a massive project, with a total area of 10,800 hectares (26,687 acres). It is expected to cost AED 30 billion (US$8.2 billion) to complete. The development is scheduled to be completed in phases over the next 20 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MBR City will be a self-contained city, with its own residential, commercial, retail, and entertainment areas. It will also have a number of world-class attractions, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The world&#8217;s largest man-made lagoon, with a surface area of 1.6 square kilometers (0.62 square miles)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Universal Studios theme park<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A shopping mall with over 1 million square meters (10.8 million square feet) of retail space<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A golf course<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A marina<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A number of hotels and resorts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>MBR City is expected to be a major economic driver for Dubai. It is expected to create over 100,000 jobs and attract over 100 million visitors annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first phase of MBR City, District One, is already complete. District One is a waterfront development with residential, commercial, and retail properties. It also has a number of amenities, including a beach, a marina, and a park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second phase of MBR City, District 2, is currently under development. District 2 will be home to the Universal Studios theme park, as well as a number of other attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MBR City is a major development that is expected to have a significant impact on Dubai.
